2018 SEASON

THE EFFECT by LUCY PREBBLE – March 2 – March 25, 2018
Directed by Joe Feldman

“So when love strikes Connie and Tristan, as it inevitably does, they have to wonder if this is indeed, to borrow from Tom Stoppard, the real thing. After all, the physiological effects of this still-unnamed drug, which kicks up the dopamine levels in the brain, would seem to replicate what we usually identify as the symptoms of love, the kind itemized in Rodgers and Hart ballads: giddiness, loss of appetite, enhanced perception, increased pulse, etc.”

DA by HUGH LEONARD – May 18 – June 10, 2018
Directed by Colleen McClure

“If you have to be haunted, you really couldn’t ask for a nicer sort of ghost. The specter at the heart of Hugh Leonard’s semi-autobiographical play “Da,” revived by the Irish Repertory Theater, pours piping cups of tea and proffers packs of cigarettes. Most of the time he lounges in his favorite armchair, singing snatches of songs and telling jokes.” Alexis Soloski ~ New York Times

SEPARATE TABLES by Terrence Rattigan – October 5 – October 28, 2018
Directed by Jim Cady

“Separate Tables”, two interlinked one-act plays set in a genteel seaside hotel where everyone is keeping up appearances. The occupants of the Beauregard Hotel, are chased by personal demons or the demon of a postwar Labour government. They are stranded like beached whales by the convention that seats them all at lonely separate tables in the hotel dinning room.”
